CAREER PROSPECTS For 80 years the department of the Russian language has graduated thousands of russians, fruitfully working in various positions in the region, the republic, as well as in the countries of far and near abroad. This is due to the role and importance of the Russian language in our Republic. As is known, Russian is the official language in the Kyrgyz Republic, in which documents are kept in all bodies and institutions, training is conducted at all levels of education: pre-school, general, secondary and higher. Russian is a world language, one of the languages of the United Nations. Russian plays a particularly important role for the Issyk-Kul region, which is a tourist area and where tourists from Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries come. For Karakol, the most cosmopolitan city in Central Asia, the Russian language serves as a language of interethnic communication, a language of friendship and solidarity, a language of integration of different nationalities living in our republic. And the important factor of paying attention to the Russian language is that it is the language of science and technology. At the present stage, graduates of this program may work in pedagogical, social, scientific spheres: teachers of Russian language and literature, teachers, interpreters, methodologists, scientific researchers, etc. in all educational institutions: pre-school, school, higher; rayono, city, oblono, etc.; hold positions in rural, district, city state institutions and organizations: village council, city council, city hall, regional state administration, funds, law enforcement agencies, etc. There is an annual demand for graduates of this program and before graduation they are already offered vacancies in the Human Resources Department of the SGU, offers are received by the Department and the Rector of the IKSU.
