History of the Department
The Department of the Kyrgyz Language and Literature was established in the Faculty of Philology at Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov. The department has made a huge contribution to the formation and strengthening of the faculty, in its success in the field of educational and methodological, scientific and educational works. At the present time at the department work 14 people. From them 4 doctors of sciences, professors: A.Imanov, J.Osmonova, A.T.Dunkanaev and A.E.Abdykerimova; 7 candidates of sciences, associate professors: A.K.Koilubaeva, K.A.Asanalieva, T.J.Asirdinova, Ch.D.Tolubaeva, N.A.Zhumashova and A.A.Anapiyaeva; 1 senior lecturer J.A.Tumonbaeva and 2 teachers: B.Sydykova, S.B.Otorbaeva. The attendance rate is 78,5%. At the present time the Head of the Department is candidate of philological sciences, Associate Professor Tolubaeva Cholpon Derdenbaevna. Department members hold lecture and practical classes for Kyrgyz language and literature students of the specialty 550300 – “Philological education” as well as practical classes in the Kyrgyz language and Manas Studies in groups of all specialties with Kyrgyz and Russian language teaching at the IGU. Professors and teachers of the department teach full-time students in “Kyrgyz language and literature,” MA and Distance Learning Center and teach “Modern Kyrgyz language”, “Stylistics”, “Methods of teaching the Kyrgyz language”, “Türkology”, “Kyrgyz folklore”, “History of Culture”, “History of Poetry”, “Modern Kyrgyz Literature”, “Introduction to Literary Studies”, “Theory of Literature”, “Kyrgyz Children’s Literature”, “Methods of Teaching Literature”, “Western Literature”, “Russian Literature” and lectures in all university specialties, courses “Kyrgyz Language”, “Manas Studies” practical and seminar classes. They also supervise coursework and dissertations of students, master’s theses of undergraduates. The Department of the Kyrgyz language and literature is currently in contact with the Institute of Language and Literature named after Chingiz Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz State University named after E. Arabaev, the Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz State University of the Kyrgyz language and Literature of the Kyrgyz Republic. Educational and methodological work
In the educational and methodological direction, the department holds monthly seminars where open lessons of department members are discussed. Particular attention is paid to new technologies and teaching methods, presentations, the latest approaches and methods used in lectures and practical classes. In order to improve the quality of training, teachers at their classes using multimedia equipment, actively implement interactive methods and trying to conduct lessons at a high methodological level, with creative search and innovative approach. At educational and methodical seminars are discussed educational and methodical manuals that are proposed for publication. In recent years, members of the department published six textbooks: Imanov A. “Kyrgyz tilinin syntaxi”, Syntax //Classikalyk izildөlөr; Osmonova J. “Kyrgyz tilinin urunttuu maseleri”; Asanaliev Y. “Adep. 6-Class Master үchun”; Koylubaeva A.K. Kyrgyz tili. 5-classstar uchun; Asirdinova T.J., Turgonbaeva A.A. Kyrgyz tili. Zhogorku okuu zhailarynynyn studentteri үchun. They are already used in schools, secondary and higher educational institutions. Besides, 5 monographs were issued (Dunkaev A.T. Kyrgyz makaldarynyn teksttik-communicativlik өzgөchlүktörү, Zhanylmach tili; Asirdinova T.J. Syntaxistik birdikterdegi bagynynyk bailanyshynynyn eerchishү zholununun normalary zhana principle; Anapiyeva A. A. Kyrgyz tilinin 80-zhyldardan kiyinki neologismsderi; Ismailova D.N. Kyrgyz tilindegi antonimderdin grammaticsasy), dozens of educational and methodical manuals and about 100 articles.
Educational work
Professors and lecturers of the department give educational information about morals and ethical values of our people in every class. Curators of the department – Ch. Tolubaeva, Zh. Tumenbaeva, S. Otorbaeva work closely with students and conduct various activities.
On December 4, the group KF-31 organized a literary evening dedicated to Manas Day, which was held in the regional library named after T. Sydykbekov. Student activists were awarded valuable books.
December 10, 2021 in the interuniversity festival “Aitmatov-Fiesta”, held by the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas” students took part in group KF-31 and took second place. The group was led by Associate Professor Tolubaeva Cholpon Derdenbaevna.
December 10, 2021 in honor of the 110th anniversary of Ziyash Bektenov held a lesson-auction. The event was attended by teachers and students of the faculty, a video about the life and work of Z.Bektenov was shown, followed by a presentation by Candidate of Physical Sciences, Associate Professor Koylubaeva A.K.
On December 15, 2021, on the occasion of the birthday of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov and the day of “Literature” groups KF-21, KF-31 (curator – senior teacher Zh. Tumenbaeva) conducted curatorial hour. The students performed excerpts from Chingiz Aitmatov’s works, as well as read the poems of the great poet A.Osmonov.
